Democratization of deep neural networks is good, but it also poses a threat to how we perceive reality: What is true and what is false. Deepfake is the term used for when advanced image recognition and rendering is used to create highly realistic videos. Trust is quickly becoming hard currency and Pentagon is in a race to understand how spot what is real and what is fake.
