Wonderful memories of summer of 2016! We experienced the global opposite of social distancing, as Pokémon Go inspired young and old alike to hit the streets, meet up in parks, and shopping malls, to capture elusive pokémons. Some events attracted thousands of players, even to remote locations. Read the article here: https://www.techradar.com/how-to/how-to-play-pokemon-go-from-home

Interestingly, a number of home-friendly features have been added and we can learn from it.

… new remote collaboration features (join your team from home instead of gathering at the same location)
… features given extended lifespan (reducing urgency in changing location)
… Pokéstops drop more gifts (making walking around less important)
… Inventory limit has been increased (the analogy of increasing the size of your fridge, reducing the need to walk around)
… the number of Pokémon that appear near you has been increased (staying in the game is more rewarding)

Abstracting this to digital workplace ideas:
* Add new collaboration features, enabling your teams to remotely do everything they can do when they were at the same location
* Remove synchronicity requirements (time and location) to, for example ideation, problem solving, and testing.
* Stop by your team members often with “staying at home”-gifts (encouragement, vouchers for home delivery, or other “I value you”-gifts).
